Laura Salcines in front of her antique shop Populart. Seville is famous for its azulejos – ceramic tiles – and has been since Roman times. Over the years Laura has acquired one of the finest collections of vintage ceramics and tiles in Spain dating back centuries. Pottery making has strong roots in Seville, and in Triana there used to be numerous ceramic factories. Today there is only a handfull left still making the characteristic brightly colored ceramic.
Seville is often referred to as ”The Bull City”.
